Rajdevi Mandir
Rajdevi Mandir is located south-east of the Janaki Mandir in
Janakpurdham. We know that the goddess durga has different idol in the world.
Maa Rajdevi is on of them which is situated in Janakpurdham. Rajdevi Mandir and
Ram Mandir is attach. In Dashain Rajdevi Mandir is fully decorated with
different kinds of lights and bulbs. Due to that the Mandir is looking like a
bride and so, beautiful around it in Vijaya Dashami. In vijaya dashami everyday

Mithila Culture
Mithila
culture is known as a very old and rich culture in the world. This is found in
Janakpur. It is also found in Terai region of Nepal
and Bihar state of India.
Janakpurdham is known a capital of Mithila and places of king Janak or where
the goddess sita was born. Mithila culture has their own Language, Customs,
Traditions, Arts and Music. Peoples who belong from Mithila they speak in
Maithali language. Woman’s who lives in mithila was called Mithalani, they wear
sari and the mans wear dhoti, kurta and pag.
Mithila culture has many arts and painting and they all have their own historical,
religious meaning. Mithalani draw picture of god, goddess, animals, birds etc
by using very simple colors, clays and mud. Chath, Chaurchan, Rakhibandhan,
Jursital, Tihar, Ramnaumai, Holi, Sunday fast, Bibhapanchami, Sarswati puja etc
are the some important festivals of the Mithila Culture.

Railway
The only and one
railway of Nepal
is situated in janakpurdham. It run from Janakpurdham (Nepal) to
Jaynagar (India), which is situated in bihar. The distance between
Janakpur to Jayanagar is 29 kilometer. In this there is nine sub-station
which gives directly service to the passenger. Up to 29 v.d.c peoples
are take services through this railway.It runs twice in a day. Passenger
directly come from India to Nepal and also goods may deliver directly
to Nepal through it.It gives good profit too our nation.
Due political issue the one and only one railway is also
stopped from few month. It is most viewing places of Janakpur dham. This the Railway of Nepal
Dhanushadham
Dhanushadham
Dhanushadham is a also one of historical and religious site in Nepal. Dates back to the time of the great epic Ramayana. It is located 18 km northeast of Janakpurdham in the south- central region of Nepal. Dhanushadham was the place where Lord Ram had broke Shiva's divine bow, a condition for winning the hand of Sita in marriage. According to the epic, the bow was broken into three pieces. One of the bow goes in sky, other in earth and the third parts of the bow fell in the present day Dhanushadham.

Janaki Mandir
The Janaki Mandir was built in 19th century by queen Brisabhanu Kunwari of Tikamgarh (India).She spend 900000 rupees for the construction of this temple in 1911 A.D, So in local parlance the temple is also called Naulakha Mandir or Temple of Nine Lakh. The centre or inner part of the temple is called Janaki Mahal where the idols of Sita and Ram are housed.In 1657 a golden statue of goddess Sita was found at the very spot and Sita is said to have lived there. The legend had it that it was built on the holy site where sannyasi Shurkishor Das had found the images of goddess Sita. Now it is the one of the biggest temple in Nepal.
